Painting

Painting is a kind of art and represents the application of color dyes, pigments on paper, canvas, wood, wall, glass, silk, ceramics and other media. The paint is usually applied with a brush, but can use other objects, such as colored pencil. Generally painting is built on the balance between warm and cold tones. Its expressive means are mask color stain texture of the paint layer. Essential for it is the coloring. Like any other art, it can perform cognitive, aesthetic, ideological, educational, documentary and other functions. Pictures can be naturalistic, photographic, abstract, be loaded with content, symbolism, emotion or be political in nature.
